The Romantics Asbury Park Concert reviews
Red Rocker forever
"My wife booked the concert for us. How good could they possibly be right, I was thinking! The Romantics is pushing 75 and is probably low energy at this time in his life, I mean. This was the best concert I鈥檝e been to in a long time, I could not have more wrong. I thought he vanished into obscurity when he split from Van Halen (however they spell the name), then Bam! There he is on stage with his band rolling out a performance of a lifetime. Not only this, he has Jason Bonham on drums and Michael Anthony playing bass guitar, wow! But the playing of his lead guitarist, don鈥檛 remember his name, was the best. I closed my eyes and thought I was listening to Eddie Van Halen up on stage. I will forever remember that night and hope they return in the future."
